Be wary of offers that are far too attractive!
You have unexpectedly received an offer by mail or fax from a previously unknown company?
Carefully check the offer and the supplier with the help of the list below. On the basis of just a few pointers you will recognize whether the offer is possibly dubious and whether the supplier has fraudulent intentions:
- Popular branded goods are on offer considerably under current market price (you can compare prices quickly and simply at pvXchange.de).
- The supplying company was set up just a few months ago, or is only recently active in the photovoltaics industry.
- The supplier has no references or credentials in the industry.
- The contact at the supplier is never, or hardly ever available on the telephone. There is only a mobile number.
- The actual object of the company is not dealing in solar components, or has no connection with the solar industry.
- The supplier can provide few technical details concerning the goods, or data sheets only after consulting its own supplier.
- The acknowledgement of order contains false technical terms or module designations that a professional would never use.
- A meeting at the dealer's premises is not possible.
- The goods are already stored at a particular site, but cannot be inspected.
- The supplier refuses to dispatch delivery documents or copies of them.
- The supplier informs you that the serial numbers of the manufacturer may not be given to the European branch of the manufacturer (Beware! Black market goods).
- The modules must be paid for quickly and in advance, otherwise supply of the goods can no longer be guaranteed.
- Terms of payment are not secure, since, for example, prepayment is required long before delivery of the goods, or accelerated direct payment to the initial supplier in the chain is refused.
- Payment processing by way of a fiduciary account is not possible.
